What is Thermal Runaway?
- A dangerous chain reaction where heat generated by a failing battery causes it to overheat further, potentially leading to fire or explosion.
- Causes: Overcharging, short circuits, physical damage, or exposure to high temperatures.
- Prevention: Use a smart charger, avoid physical damage, and store batteries in a cool, dry place.
- Storage & Transport: Always store batteries in protective cases or boxes to prevent accidental contact with metal objects. Never store loose batteries in pockets, purses, bags, or near conductive materials.
- Inspection: Do not use if the PVC wrapper, terminal insulator, or casing is damaged, dented, leaking, or bulging. These are signs of internal damage or instability, and continued use could result in failure, fire, or explosion.
- Charging: Use a smart charger designed specifically for lithium-ion batteries and ensure that the charger's voltage matches the battery's specifications. Never overcharge, over-discharge, or leave unattended while charging.
- Prohibited Activities: Do not short circuit, modify, puncture, crush, expose to liquids, or solder directly onto the battery (spot weld only).
- Emergency Response: If a cell shows signs of thermal runaway (smoke, swelling, hissing, or heat), stop use immediately and, if it can be done safely, move it to a non-flammable surface (e.g., concrete or sand) away from combustibles. Lithium-ion cell fires are Class B fires — use an ABC/dry-chemical extinguisher, or douse with large amounts of water to cool the cell and prevent spread. Do not rely on a small spray; thorough cooling is required, and cells can reignite from residual heat, so monitor the area afterward. (Class D extinguishers are for lithium-metal batteries, not lithium-ion.) For any fire beyond a single small cell, evacuate and call emergency services.

Very good quality and I really like the coating on them. They don't get scratched as easily. I'm probably even getting a few more.
I replaced the original 1100mah dead batteries for these 3000mha batteries. Hopefully I should get a very long user time between charge. That brings up one thing I don't remember about the old batteries. After charging, I have to let the give the batteries a short cool down time ir the motor will only turn for a couple if seconds and shuts down. After a short cool down, about 30 seconds the power is restored to normal. Is that normal for these batteries?
I use three 18650 ,3000 mAh 15A batteries To power the position lights on my powered paraglider. They last about one hour with this high amperage draw, which is sufficient because I normally only use them close to sunrise or sunset. Very satisfied.
This battery is great for vaping in the low range, backed by 15 amps of discharge rate, and with 3000 Mah for long term use before changing!

These are some of the best batteries on the market IMO. Great balance of capacity vs amperage. In a Drag 4 pushing o.3 ohms at 55w, they also me about 12 hours.

I bought 2 of these to go with a Nitecore D2 charger. Could not be happier, hot swap capability is gold compared to USB charging. I've been using them consistently now for a month, no complaints.
These batteries last longer than a lot of other batteries I've tried. Using them in a vape device. I am still using some of the same kind of batteries that are over a year old. The older batteries last about 24 hours where the new batteries last almost 4 days before needing recharged. No complaints with these batteries.

Awesome batteries for flashlights
Finally got them after 1 month in hands of USPS. Only time will tell. Muratas/Sony are known to be very trustworthy. I should have gotten the higher amp Muratas for my high output flashlights. But these will do good and remain dependable.
Not sure if their any better than the previous model. They last me all day and serve my needs just fine. But according to my battery charger, their only 2700mah at best. So might not be worth the extra couple dollars, but it's been a long while since I bought the previous model.

We use these batteries in our vape mods and a couple of other things. We upgraded from Sony Murata VTC5 because they were getting old (approx 3 yrs) and didn't hold the charge very long. These VTC6 batteries last a lot longer. Very satisfied with the VTC6 batteries and recommend them highly!
